The 150 document transcripts on this website can be accessed in several ways. You can search by keyword or browse by document type, date written, author, recipient or transcript number.

In the right-hand margin of each document page are links to glossary entries with further information about the people, places, vessels and some of the unusual terms used in the document. There are also links to other documents written by the same author, sent to the same recipient or sent in the same year as the document being viewed.

For the documents written in French or containing French passages, the transcriber's rough English translation is available via a link in the right-hand margin.
