                    Boston Sept 28 [1810]


Madam


        Lest a Letter I wrote to you from
Revesby which I Sent to Spilsby, Should not have reachd [sic]
your hands I adreƒs [sic] this to you to inform you that the
admiralty have receivd [sic] news of your husband Capt
Flinders
having been Liberated by the Governor of the
Isle of France, & that he was at the Cape of Good Hope
on his way home when the veƒsel which brought the
dispatches Saild [sic]; I have great Pleasure in adding that
Mr York the first Lord of the admiralty immediately on
hearing the news of his Safety orderd [sic] the Rank of Post
Captain
to be given to him, I trust that in leƒs than
a month he will be with us he was on board the
Otter Sloop at the Cape I beleive [sic]
