Letter from William Wilberforce to Matthew Flinders (FLI01)


                New [illegible] Hotel
                Mondy May 20th 1811


Sir
      I have been much wishing
to see you. Will you do me
the favor of calling on me
here tomorrow ^ either about 12 oclock
foror ½ past 11 —
or Wednesday abt ½ past 12 —
It has really been next to im-

other side]                 made my ut-
-most Efforts to do, if I had not
hoped that you would not


misconstrue my Omiƒsion
of that Ceremony — the fact
is that I am forc'd to plead
the same apology to all
my other friends ——
