          My Brother speaks so much of the friendship
you were good enough to shew him in the Isle
of France
, that I cannot deny myself the
          pleasure of addreƒsing you & so
          far introducing myself
          I trust shoud [sic] opportunity
offer I shall be better known to you.
You shall [illegible] no occasion that any offer on
my part to be so. To the enclosed letter I shall
add that a Post Commiƒsion is gone to India
for him dated 27 April - but whether to a ship
there or for Rank only I have not learnt
          I have the honour to be very truly
          yours [ends here - signature cut away]
