My dear Sir
    it gives me Sincere Pleasure
that you have at Last Escapd [sic] from the Clutches of
French tyranny & are restord [sic] to your Country
I feel an additional Satisfaction of no Small
magnitude in Finding the First Lord, of whose judment [sic]
as well as Talents I have a high opinion, inclind [sic]
to rate your Services on the scale they deserve & to

into consideration in setting, the

doubts whether
[illegible] your
wishes to do, its


he will however if I mistake him not do all
that the means & Precedent of office will Enable
him to do, & with this I am well aƒsured that
you will be Satisfied & gratefull [sic] and your heart
content
    I mean to be in London on the 7th
of november at night, on the 8th I {Entertain} my
Functions as President of the R.S; which resumes
its meetings on that day. I hope on that day
to have the Pleasure of Shaking you by the
hand & congratulating you on your Present Situation
& Condoling the Evils you have endured & the
years of your youth you have defended of
French Tyranny & oppreƒsion
